 Sharra is the absolute best in the business. She saw something in Ayaan when he was 6 years old and suggested that we pursue acting if he was interested. Her expertise and recommendations landed him representation from three agents for film, voice over and commercial work. In his first 6 months of acting, with Sharra’s coaching, he booked a lead role in a regional commercial, two short films, two animated series and several other roles.  I remember the first time I met Ms. Sharra. I was a little kid, and my mom said she found a new coach to help me with my acting. I was excited and eager to find out who this lady was. Little did I know that this woman would become the light in this world I didn’t know I needed. She’s helped me book things from voice-overs for White Castle and Pfizer to co-starring roles on shows like Michael Che and Saturday Night Live and several films, including my most recent film American Summer.

When I started working with you, I had little to no experience and was arguing with my mom about how we thought an audition should be filmed. Working with you has been a blessing in disguise because you showed me the levels acting could take me in this world. You worked with me through a lot of phases in my life, from when I was eager to be on TV with no knowledge of how these things even work to when I wanted to stop acting. You gave me the motivation to keep on working, and I will cherish you forever for that.

Working with you has made the process go smoother and the bookings come through easier. Thank you, Ms. Sharra, for always being the coach I look to when I need help with this business.  Wow! I have been working with Ms. Sharra Dade for over five years now, and she has been an amazing coach and mentor throughout my acting journey. Kennedy has been coaching with Ms. Sharra since the second grade. I discovered Kennedy's passion for improv during one of Ms. Sharra's group classes. At the time, Kennedy was no stranger to group acting classes; however, I had never truly seen her in her "element" until she joined the improv class with Ms. Sharra.

The class was filled with incredibly talented kids, some of whom I’ve since seen on Broadway, on television, and in other acting environments. It was an amazing experience to be in the presence of such talent—especially child stars who looked like us.

Another class Kennedy loved was the art of voiceover. Similar to improv, Kennedy had taken VO classes before, but this class was unique. The games they played and the structure of the lessons were unlike anything we had experienced. The students were encouraged to lean into their acting abilities, listening skills, and performance techniques. They reviewed tapes together, performed in front of the group, and learned invaluable methods, such as the A, B, C read.
